Rise and fall method:-

In this method, the height of instrument is not at all calculated but the difference of level between two consecutive point is found by comparing staff readings on the 2 points for the same set up instrument. The difference between their staff readings are take between Rise and Fall according staff  reading of the points are smaller and greater then add to the proceeding points.
